I inherited Robert at Action Auto Care when I bought my friend's car. My friend had been taking the car there for years (1989 BMW 325ix) and had nothing but great things to say about this mechanic. When I brought the car in there for a major tune up, the place definitely lives up to my friend's high recommendation. He already had in his files a detailed record of the maintenance history on my car and easily was able to tell me what needed to be done to have it running great. He did the work quickly and the cost was very reasonable.

Robert comes across as honest and trustworthy. He will tell you in a straight forward way what kind of service your car needs and won't upsell you on stuff you don't necessarily need. Definitely the best experience I've had with a mechanic while living in SF (10years).
