Best in the business!!

I met Bruno some 6 or 7 years ago to put a mirror on my 87 Saab convertible. It was the least of my worries as I have since had my share of sad Saab stories. Calling around town that first time finding other shops difficult and pricey, I finally found Bay European who was not just reasonably priced, they were also timely and told to come on down. In fact In all of my sad Saab stories Bruno and his team have been there to put the pieces in order in timely manner for a modest price. We have done quite a bit of business over the years as I have recommended my friends and family when asked if I knew of a shop that did good work. I am pleased to share with all who access this site that Bay European has shown to be courteous, professional and experienced putting their customer first, and is highly recommended.

Do Not Use This Shop

Do not use this shop if you care about your car. If you have a beater you're driving into the ground, then maybe. I have a 2003 CL 600 that Bruno said he could fix, no problem. He is a small old shop that does not have the tech and I should have known better. But, he talked me into letting him take a shot. Bc he didn't know what he was doing, it took him 2.5 months to fix it mainly relying on his friends over at Mercedes Benz of San Francisco to come over after work to help him out. The result was a bunch of cosmetic damage to my car b/c it was there for nearly 3 months. Bruno said he would either fix the problems himself or pay for a shop to fix it. As of today, he has now refused to do so b/c the estimate of the damage he caused (nearly $7,000) is too high! I will have to litigate get him to honor our agreement which is in writing. Go elsewhere. There are too many other good independent shops around to use than taking the risk with this guy.

The first honest mechanic...ever
Im not going to lie, I'm a woman who has had my fair share of mecanics trying to take advantage of me, so I was extremely sceptical about trying a new auto shop when i moved to SF. The first time i brought my Audi in for a strange engine noise Bruno greeted me with a warm smile. He explained everything to me without using technical terms I will never understand and was able to walk me through exactly what needed to be done and what I could expect. When I picked up the car, everything was done exactly how it had been explained and he actually charged me less than I was originally quoted. I would have never expected that from a Mechanic! I will probably never think about visiting another auto shop again. I highly recommend this shop.

I will never go to the dealership again
I have a 2000 BMW 740i and used to take it to the dealership for all my service needs. The service there was ok, but ridiculously expensive. As i was driving to the BMW dealership on Howard one day, I passed by Bay European and, against my greater instinct, decided to stop in and give it a try. Since then i have been kicking myself for not stopping by my entire driving career. I have never met a more friendly, honest business owner, let alone mechanic, in my life. The shop was clean and unintimidating, the service was amazing, the price was amazing, and they even (unsolicited) washed my car for me. Thanks guys!
