Holy Cow it was big! by Lori K. at InsiderPages

I was visiting my brother in San Francisco last summer. He decided he needed to get a few things at Rainbow Grocery. I couldn't believe the size of this place. The co-op that I shop in in Traverse City, Michigan could fit in one corner of this place. I could have spent hours looking around. Un-Happy Hippies

I love the food at Rainbow. But do the workers have to take themselves so seriously? I have yet to check out and bag my own groceries at Rainbow without any attitude from the staff. Attitude for what, I wonder? They are not the only ones doing great groceries. There is just an unhappy vibe there, and it's a shame, because I would patronize often sans the attitude.

The buyer for this store knows what she's doing. It's the first place I ever say Numi teas and I got assortments for stocking gifts one Christmasa bit hit. They sell vitamins, natural body care products, aromatherapy essences, unique gifts, interesting books, essential oils, even ear candles.

Best Place to Buy Ginseng

This is the best ginseng store I found in San Francisco Chinatown. I am so surprised of their customer service. The staff explained the uses and benefits of each when I asked how to prepare them. I will come again to buy ginseng for my relatives.

A Fantastic Mail Order Company For Herbs & Spices

I think I first did business with SFHC in the late 1980s. I recently looked them up and was delighted to find their website. Not much has changed over the years: SFHC still offers a tremendous selection of herbs, spices, potpourri, botanicals, essential oils, fragrance oil, spice mixes (e.g. garam masala) and so much more. a sancturary in the middle of chinatown

what a great find in the middle of chinatown! this little tea company is wonderful. they have a huge variety of loose teas. the best part is opening the canisters and smelling the tea as you make your selections. they also give free tastings. the bad part is that recently this tiny store has been extremely crowded. the prices are not at all cheap, but try any of their low cost teas and...
